A self-hosted virtual office that runs in the browser: voxel 3D worlds, real-time teammate presence and proximity-based audio/video. Wrapped and shipped: it is live and open to the public at minecall.online.
The problem
Virtual-office alternatives are closed, expensive services; a team that wants a private space can't host it on its own infrastructure or adapt it.
Features
A navigable 3D voxel world in the browser, with teammates moving in real time
Proximity audio and video: you hear whoever is near you, the way an office works
Screen sharing inside the call, several at once, visible to the same people who hear you
World editor: building floors and walls in 3D, and placing objects
Your own 3D models: upload a .glb and the editor turns it into a block or a character, with a daily quota and moderation
Shared music per zone, synced by the server, ducking automatically when someone speaks
Call panels that expand or hide: screen, world or radio takes the stage and the rest drop to a strip of thumbnails
New worlds are born with the office already built, copied from a template
Per-world memberships and invitations: media access is authorised by membership and proximity, not by room
A Control Center to manage worlds, entities and moderation of user uploads
Reconnect and event replay by sequence number, so a network drop doesn't throw you out of the world
My responsibility
Full-stack on a team: the Go API (identity, world, presence, media), the 3D client and the self-hosted deployment with Docker + Caddy on my own VPS, all the way to production on its own domain.
